Overview

The CORE Theme Builder plugin helps you generate a consistent, scalable color system in seconds. It transforms just a few base colors into structured token sets, optimized for both Light and Dark modes, and ready for real product use. Use it with the official CORE UI Kit for instant integration or generate standalone primitives to use in any system.

How It Works

• Define a base color (500) for each group
• The plugin generates shades from 0 to 1000
• Shades are designed to work in both Light and Dark themes
• All values follow CORE’s logic for contrast, accessibility, and practical use

Quick Tip: To preserve accessibility and contrast, change only the hue of a base color while keeping brightness and saturation the same. This allows you to rebrand visually without affecting contrast. It helps you switch themes in minutes instead of hours.

How to Use the Plugin

Option 1: With the CORE UI Kit (Recommended)

This gives you immediate, fully integrated theming across all CORE components and templates

1. Open the official CORE UI Kit from coreui.design
2. Run the plugin inside the file
3. Input your brand and support colors
4. Click Update Tokens to replace the existing tokens with your theme

Option 2: Without the UI Kit (Standalone Mode)

Ideal for custom design systems that still want structured, production-grade color primitives

1. Run the plugin in any Figma file
2. Use the default base colors or input your own
